A word about FCRA compliance

Alliant maintains TransactionBase® as an FCRA-compliant database. All usage for pre-screening marketing lists requires that the promotion is a firm offer of credit as defined by the FCRA. All usage for application-stage decisioning requires consumer consent. Each user is solely responsible to determine if their offers and business practices are consistent with the FCRA.

Alliant is a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) and has made significant investments in the development of systems for complying with consumer disclosure and privacy rights as directed by FCRA/FACTA.

  • Contributors using Alliant order stage scoring solutions may inform consumers who fail to meet established credit criteria that the decision to reject an application was based on information obtained from Alliant
  • Contributors may also use Alliant’s name in collection request letter copy, as an inducement for payment.
  • As required by FCRA/FACTA, Alliant maintains a toll-free number for consumers who wish to know more about the information Alliant has on file about them.

If you have an interest in learning more about appropriate usage of TransactionBase® and Alliant’s procedures for responding to consumer requests for information and dispute resolution please send your request to info@alliantdata.com.
